sea urchin pasta.

mommy's stash of Hokkaido sea urchins

cooked with olive oil, garlic, onions, parsley and cream.
not to forget: ground black pepper for a hint of spice.

pasta with sea urchins.

mommy discovered salt pickled sea urchins stashed away in our pantry.
so she whipped up some pasta with olive oil, garlic, a dash of red pepper,
and topped it off with grated Karasumi (dried mullet roe) and some parsley.

daddy was very satisfied.

fresh tomatoes from Chef"s garden
in a casserole with salt/pepper/garlic clove/thyme
into the oven for a simple yet tasty brunch.
reborn the following day; pasta pomodoro.

red snapper.

a well seasoned red snapper grilled with garlic, fresh basil and tomatoes.
grandma tells us "every part of this fish is exquisite"
the next morning she made fish stock from its bones
adding onion/tomatoes/saffron/rice for the perfect risotto brunch.
