lamb chops.

back to when grandma was in town.

she was thrilled to find fresh lamb loin in tokyo
which turned into rosemary grilled lamb chops
with slices of garlic and seasoning.

pastry wrapped meat loaf.

grandma's traditional meat loaf.
she found pie sheets in our fridge to turn into a pastry wrap.
mommy claims it was the tastiest meat loaf she's ever had
with rosemary potatoes and light beef stroganoff pasta on the side.

the coming-out collection.

daddy was working at a photoshoot.
so mommy and i went to take part in his ad campaign.
we ended up with an unexpected family portrait.

roast stuffed quail.

grandma whipped up roast quail stuffing
with leftovers from our kitchen;
onions, apples, raisins, and fresh rosemary.

japanese bbq.

friends came over for a shichirin party.
and i made a new friend, Leah.

eggs en cocotte.

grandma's classic breakfast.

gruyere cheese, fresh egg, heavy cream, and ground pepper
in a ramekin and straight out of the oven.

birthday morning.

i turned 2.

grandma stocked up pastries at LA BOUTIQUE de Joel Robuchon
which turned into my impromptu birthday cake.
it's also been a whole year since i started this blog.

couscous.

grandma came to visit and literally cooked up a storm.
wholesome stew to accompany daddy's favorite; couscous.
red bell pepper, zucchini, eggplants, carrots, lamb, chorizo, 
string beans, garbanzo beans, saffron, and ground cumin.

not to forget: harissa on the side.

came over to celebrate my early b-day.
