turned into a tasty stew and steak.

mommy's first tackle of wild bear turned out to be a success 
as the stew meat turned out to be melt-in-your-mouth tender.


grandma also sent us fresh matsutake mushrooms 
which turned into an impromptu matsutake rice dish.
the next morning daddy requested his favorite; 
matsutake rice stir fry with butter and garlic.
